We welcome proposals on a wide range of WordPress-related topics, and are particularly excited about submissions that fall within our two focused tracks:
🚀 Tech Innovation Track:
Dive into the cutting edge of WordPress development. We’re seeking talks that explore how to transform WordPress into powerful web applications, integrate AI and automation solutions, and build interactive features with modern workflows. Think web apps, AI, automation, and interactive experiences!
📊 Digital Marketing Track:
Unlock the marketing potential of WordPress. This track is all about data-driven strategies, user experience, and effective online marketing. Share your insights on Google Analytics, UI/UX best practices, email marketing mastery, and SEO and content optimization.
We welcome proposals on a wide range of WordPress-related topics, including but not limited to:
- Development: Theme development, plugin creation, performance optimization, security best practices, working with APIs, headless WordPress.
- Design: UX/UI design for WordPress, accessibility, responsive design, working with page builders, creating effective visuals.
- Content: Content strategy, SEO for WordPress, blogging tips, creating engaging content, managing multilingual sites.
- Marketing: WordPress for marketing, social media integration, analytics, lead generation, e-commerce with WordPress.
- Community: Building WordPress communities, contributing to open source, diversity and inclusion in WordPress.
- Business: Running a WordPress business, freelancing, client management, scaling your WordPress services.
- Beginner-Friendly: Introductions to WordPress, setting up a website, basic customization, essential plugins.

- Call for Speakers Opens: 20th Feb 2025
- Proposal Deadline: 23rd March 2025
- Speaker Notifications: 1st April 2025
- WordCamp Johor Bahru: 17th May 2025
🎤 Session Formats:
If you have multiple session ideas, please submit each one separately, and limit yourself up to 2 proposals. Sessions will fall into one of the following formats:
- 20-minute talks with an additional 10-minute Q&A.
- 30-minute panels discussion with a moderator.
Tips for a Successful Proposal:
- Be clear and concise in your proposal description.
- Highlight the key takeaways for the audience.
- Showcase your speaking experience (if any).
- Choose a compelling and relevant topic.
- Proofread your proposal carefully.
